How do I fund my Onboard card with BTC, SOL, or other crypto?

You can't fund your card directly with non-stablecoin crypto (BTC, ETH, etc) from an external wallet, but it only takes one extra step using the Onboard Trading Wallet.

If the crypto is already in your Trading Wallet:

  1. Open your Trading Wallet and tap Move
  2. Select your card as the destination
  3. Select the token you want to use (e.g., BTC, SOL, ETH)
  4. Enter the amount and confirm

Your crypto is sold at the current market rate and the USD equivalent is added to your card instantly.

If the crypto is in an external wallet:

  1. Deposit it to your Trading Wallet first - tap Add, select the token, choose External wallet, and send to the address shown
  2. Once it arrives, follow the steps above to move it to your card

Good to know:

  • The token is automatically converted to USD during the move - the final amount may vary slightly depending on market rates
  • Standard card funding fees still apply (1% for Flex, 1.5% for Classic)
  • This also works for funding your Cash Balance - just select Cash/USD Balance as the destination instead of your card

Have USDT or USDC instead? You can fund your card directly with stablecoins without going through the Trading Wallet - see "How do I fund my card with USDT/USDC?"
