How Do I Add My Flex Card to Apple Pay or Google Wallet?
Your Flex Card can be added to your mobile wallet for quick, convenient tap-to-pay when making in-store payments.
Before you begin:
- Make sure your Flex Card has been created and activated (see the card creation guide)
- You’ll need your card details. Tap Details on your card dashboard to view your card number, expiry date, and CVC.
Soon, you’ll be able to add your card to your wallet with a single tap directly from the app. Until then, follow the manual setup steps below:
📱Apple Pay Setup
- Open the Wallet app on your iPhone, and tap the “+” button.

- Choose “Debit or Credit Card”
Then enter your card details manually (card number, expiry, CVC). Copy these from the Details screen of your Flex card in the Onboard app.

- Choose your verification method: email or SMS.
- Enter the OTP you receive and tap Verify.
- Verification is sent to the email/phone number linked to your Onboard account.

- Once verified, your Flex Card appears in Wallet and is ready for offline payments.

📲 Google Wallet / Google Pay Setup
- Open the Google Wallet app on your Android device.
- Tap the large “+” icon → Payment card → New credit or debit card.

- Enter your card details manually (card number, expiry, CVC). Copy these from the Details screen of your Flex card in the Onboard app.

- Select your verification method: email or SMS
- Then enter the OTP sent to your Onboard-linked email or phone number.

- Read and accept Google’s terms & conditions

- After verification, your Flex Card will appear in Google Wallet and can be used for tap-to-pay.

I'm unable to add my card to Apple Pay
This is usually related to your country of residence on Onboard. Apple Pay is only available in certain countries, and the restriction is based on the country you registered with when you created your Onboard account - not your device settings, physical location, or phone region.
You can check Apple's supported countries here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/102775
Common scenarios:
- Your registered country doesn't support Apple Pay
If you registered with a country that isn't on Apple's supported list (e.g., Nigeria), you won't be able to add your card to Apple Pay, even if your phone region is set to a supported country.
- You've moved to a supported country
If you've relocated to a country that supports Apple Pay but your Onboard account still reflects your previous country, Apple Pay won't work. We're working on an in-app feature that will let you update your registered address. In the meantime, contact support and we'll help you.
- It worked before but stopped after switching phones
When you switch to a new phone, Apple re-verifies your eligibility. If your registered country doesn't support Apple Pay, provisioning will fail on the new device even if it worked on your previous one.
If none of the above applies (i.e. your country of residence on Onboard is a supported country), here are some other things to check:
- Make sure your device region is set to a supported country (Settings > General > Language & Region > Region)
- Wait a few hours and try again - Apple's provisioning can be temporarily unavailable
- Try from a different device
If none of the above resolves the issue, contact support and we'll look into it.
