Can I use my Onboard card on the Apple App Store?

This depends on your App Store region. Apple enforces strict regional matching — your App Store region must match the card's currency.

Since Onboard cards are USD-denominated, your card will work if your Apple ID is set to the US region. If your Apple ID is registered to a different country (e.g., Nigeria), the payment will fail.

There's currently no workaround for this. Apple requires the billing currency to match your account region.

Tip: If the app or service you're trying to pay for has a web version, try paying directly through their website instead - your Onboard card should work there without any regional restrictions.
