What is the Cash (USD) balance?
The Cash Balance is your main wallet inside Onboard. Think of it as your USD hub - it's where most of your money lands, and where you manage it from.
Money comes in via stablecoins (USDT/USDC), Nigerian Naira (NGN named account), US dollars (USD named account), or euros (EUR deposits). No matter how it arrives, everything converts to USD.
Money goes out to bank accounts, crypto wallets, your cards, or your crypto wallets. You can also move funds to your Trading or DeFi Wallet.
Key things to know:
- It's USD-denominated — all balances are shown and held in USD
- Non-USD deposits are converted at the live rate when they arrive
- It's the only balance that supports direct USD and EUR withdrawals (requires Bridge verification)
- It's separate from your card balances — you'll need to fund cards from here or from other sources
You don't need to "set up" the Cash Balance. It's available as soon as your identity verification is approved.
