How do I send money to my bank account in my local currency?

This is a simple way to send money from your Onboard balances to your personal bank account.

Step 1: Open the Onboard app

  • Open the Onboard app
  • Tap the Send (purple arrow) button at the bottom of the screen
  • Select Bank or Mobile Money

Step 2: Choose where you’re sending from

Select the balance you want to send money from. The available options depend on your balances and may include:

  • USD balance
  • Card balance
  • Trading wallet

and other balances

Step 3: Enter the amount and choose your local currency

  • Enter the amount you want to send
  • Select your local currency (for example, NGN, IDR, KES and more)
  • Review the exchange rate and fees shown before continuing

Step 4: Review or change your bank account details

When sending money to yourself, your personal bank account details may already be saved and will appear automatically as the recipient.

At this stage, you can:

  • Use the saved bank account shown,
  • Change the recipient to another personal bank account, or
  • Add your new bank account if it hasn’t been saved before

If you want to add a new bank account, you’ll be asked to enter and review the bank details before continuing.

Step 5: Review and confirm

  • Double-check the amount, recipient details, and fees
  • Confirm the transaction to complete your transfer
  • Once confirmed, the money is sent to your bank account in your local currency.

Note: You’ll always see the applicable fees and exchange rates before completing a transfer.
