How do I fund my DeFi Wallet?
You can fund your DeFi wallet on Onboard by receiving crypto from an external wallet using your wallet address.
This allows you to add tokens like USDT, USDC, and others directly to your DeFi wallet.
Step 1: Open your DeFi wallet
- Open the Onboard app
- Tap the Crypto tab at the bottom of your screen
- Select your DeFi wallet
- Tap Add

Step 2: Choose the token you want to receive
- Select the crypto token you want to fund your DeFi wallet with (for example, USDT, USDC, ETH, or LINK) and choose External Wallet as the payment method

Step 3: Select the correct network
- Choose the network you want to receive the token on (for example, BNB Smart Chain, Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon, etc.)
- Make sure the network you select matches the network the sender is using
Step 4: Copy or share your wallet address
- Your wallet address for the selected token and network will be displayed
- You can copy the address, or share it directly via supported apps
This is the address the sender (or your external wallet) should send the crypto to.

Step 5: Send crypto to your DeFi wallet
- Use the copied address to send crypto from another wallet you own, or a third-party wallet or exchange
- Once the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, the funds will appear in your DeFi wallet
Note
- You may need native tokens (like ETH or BNB) in your wallet to cover gas fees when swapping or moving funds
- Available tokens and networks may change based on network support
