I'm not receiving my OTP - what should I do?

Onboard uses one-time passwords (OTPs) at different stages of the app. Where you're stuck determines what to try:


Email OTP (signup/login verification):

  • Check your spam or junk folder
  • Make sure you're checking the email address you signed up with
  • Wait a moment and try resending — codes can sometimes be delayed by your email provider
  • If you've enabled passkeys, you can skip email OTP entirely and log in with your device biometrics


Phone OTP (signup verification, withdrawals, DeFi wallet recovery):

  • If you chose SMS, you can only resend once every 5 minutes
  • If you chose WhatsApp, you can resend after 1 minute
  • Make sure your phone number is correct and has signal
  • If you recently changed your phone number, your new number won't be active for OTPs until 24 hours after the change


Still not receiving your code?

  • Try switching between SMS and WhatsApp if the option is available
  • Restart the app and try again
  • Make sure your phone isn't blocking messages from unknown senders


If none of the above works, contact support with your Boardpass and which OTP you're trying to receive (email or phone).


Tip: We recommend enabling passkeys for a smoother experience — they replace email OTPs for login and use your device biometrics for transaction authorization. Enable in Settings > Passkeys.
