# How do I set up my GBP named account?

You can create a GBP account in your own name to receive GBP deposits into your Cash Balance on Onboard.

**To set it up:**

1. From your app dashboard, tap **Add** (or tap **View bank details**) on your Cash balance
2. Select **GBP**
3. If prompted, complete any required verification steps (photo ID, and proof of income if applicable)
4. Confirm - your account details are generated in 1–2 minutes

Once set up, you'll have a UK bank account in your name with an account number, sort code, and IBAN.

**Eligibility:**

* You must be verified with a photo ID
* Users from certain countries may need to complete proof of income verification
* GBP accounts are not available in some countries — see [Is Onboard available in my country?](https://help.onboard.xyz/en/article/is-onboard-available-in-my-country-gln62k/) for details

**Does it cost anything?**

No, setting up your GBP account on Onboard is completely free.
